District collector in Idukki has declared holiday on Monday for all educational institutions including professional colleges in the district following heavy rains. In Kottayam all schools up to Plus Two have been given holiday on Monday.

Meanwhile all educational establishments except professional colleges in Alappuzha district barring Kuttanad Taluk have been given holiday on Monday. In Kuttanad all educational institutions including professional colleges have been given holiday.

In Palakkad the district collector has declared holiday for all educational institutions including professional colleges. In Ponnani and Thirur Taluks of Malappuram anganwadis and schools except professional colleges have been given holiday.
