The Kerala Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has appealed to the Supreme Court for a new affidavit from the Centre regarding subsidy for diesel.

Union Petroleum Minister Veerappa Moily had earlier made it clear that the Centre would reinstate the subsidy on diesel for public-transport companies.

The state transport department appealed for an explanation on the steps taken on the basis of Moily's assurances.
