The negligence of the Indian Oil Corporation plant at Parippalli following a strike there is believed to have caused the shortage of cooking gas.

The IOC plant here is found to have taken no action against the truck owners who are taking part in the strike, according to sources. The plant has not bothered to taken action even after distribution of  cooking gas cylinders had been hindered.

Even though the plant has been given the authority to cancel the contract in case of breach of norms, the IOC plant here has taken no action so far. Meanwhile, it has been alleged that the IOC plant there is hand-in-glove with the contractors and that is the reason why the contracts are not being cancelled.

However, Bharath Petroleum plants used to keep the contractors in control, using this authority.
