Poet Vishnu Narayanan Namboothiri, scientist Madhavan Chandradhanan, gynecologist Dr Subhadra Nayar, danseuse Kalamandalam Sathyabhama, actor Vidya Balan and squash player Deepika Pallikkal are the Keralites honoured with the Padma awards.

The President has given his approval for the list. The Home Ministry would be taking the final call on this, which would be announced soon.

Actor Kamal Hassan would be honoured with Padmabhushan. He has previously been awarded with the Padmashri.
