Rahul Gandhi has snubbed the Prime Minister and insulted the entire nation by junking the ordinance on convicted lawmakers and his action could create "anarchy", BJP president Rajnath Singh said today. "Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is a member of the Congress party. Sonia Gandhi is its president and Rahul Gandhi is the vice-president. But when our Prime Minister is on a tour to America and is scheduled to meet American president, the kind of snub that Rahul Gandhi has made is very shameful for the entire nation," Singh said, while addressing party workers here. When PM is visiting a foreign land, he is representing the nation: Rajnath "Rahul Gandhi has not only insulted the PM, but has also insulted the entire nation and our self-esteem in front of the world," Singh said. "Somebody may ask why are you saying this when PM is from the rival party? We want to tell them that the Prime Minister does not belong to any party, he is the leader of the nation. "When he is visiting a foreign country, he is representing the entire nation," he said. Singh noted that opposition parties also refrain from making any harsh statement against a Prime Minister when he is on a foreign tour, because at that moment he is representing the entire nation. The BJP leader said that Rahul Gandhi should have refrained from making such statements and should have personally called the PM to register his views. Terming Rahul's remarks as a drama, Singh said the Congress leader has insulted the entire government, including the allies of the UPA regime. "Was it not a drama to snub the PM in front of everybody? He could have called up PM to register his views. If Soniaji and Rahulji had said something, it was obvious that the PM would have listened," Singh said. Slamming the UPA government for creating a "new record in corruption" across the country, he said in the process it has destroyed the economy of the country. Earlier in the day, Singh had said that Rahul Gandhi's comment that the ordinance on convicted lawmakers should be torn up as it was 'nonsensical' could create anarchy
