ഹൂസ്റ്റണ്‍ :മലയാളി അസ്സേസിയേഷന്‍ ഓഫ് ഗ്രേറ്റര്‍ ഹൂസ്റ്റന്റെ പൊതുയോഗം ചീഫ് ഇലക്ഷന്‍ കമ്മീഷ്ണര്‍ അനില്‍ ആറന്‍മുളയുടേയും, സഹ കമ്മീഷണ്‍മാരുടെയും നിയമനം എതിരില്ലാതെ അംഗീകരിച്ചു. ഡിസംബര്‍ 14ന് അസ്സോസിയേഷന്‍ ആസ്ഥാനമായ സ്റ്റാഫോര്‍ഡിലുള്ള കേരളഹൗസില്‍ ചേര്‍ന്ന പൊതുയോഗത്തില്‍ പ്രസിഡന്റ് കെന്നഡി ജോസഫ് അദ്ധ്യക്ഷത വഹിച്ചു. അസ്സോസിയേഷന്‍ ജനറല്‍ സെക്രട്ടറി എബ്രഹാം ഈപ്പന്‍ സംഘടനയുടെ വാര്‍ഷീകറിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട് അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു. തുടര്‍ന്ന് കഴിഞ്ഞ പൊതുയോഗം ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടതനുസരിച്ച് ഭരണഘടനാ ഭേദഗതി ശ്രീ. ജോഷ്വ ജോര്‍ജ്ജ് അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു ഇലക്ഷന്‍ ഡിസം.14ന് നടക്കാനിരിക്കെ ഭേദഗതി ചര്‍ച്ചയ്‌ക്കെടുക്കുന്നത് മാറ്റിവെയ്ക്കണമെന്ന പൊതുയോഗത്തിന്റെ നിര്‍ദ്ദേശമനുസരിച്ച് അടുത്ത മീറ്റിങ്ങിലേക്ക് ചര്‍ച്ച മാറ്റിവെച്ചു. അനില്‍ ആറന്‍മുളയുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിലുള്ള തെരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പു കമ്മീഷന്റെ നിയമനം അംഗങ്ങള്‍ ചോദ്യം ചെയ്തതിനെ തുടര്‍ന്ന് കമ്മറ്റി തീരുമാനം പൊതുയോഗത്തില്‍ റ്റാഫിക്കേഷന്(Rattification) വിടുകയും തുടര്‍ന്ന് എതിരില്ലാതെ അംഗീകരിക്കുകയുമാണുണ്ടായതെന്ന് അസ്സോസിയേഷന്‍ ജനറല്‍ സെക്രട്ടറി എബ്രഹാം ഈപ്പന്‍ പറഞ്ഞു.

The contents of the above news are false and baseless. The facts are quite opposite. Even some of the dates mentioned above are not matching. According to the MAGH Constitution, the general body did not elect the Election commissioner. In the general body the people who nominated the election commissioner apologized for their mistake for appointing in such a way, because they have no authority to nominate or appoint the commissioner or co-commissioners. According to the constitution Commissioners have to be elected from the general body. On the said day, without electing the commissioner the general body ended or disbursed abruptly.
