George Abraham, Chairman of the Indian National Overseas Congress, USA met with Mr. Rahul Gandhi, Vice-President of the All India Congress Committee and briefed him on the perspectives from the Diaspora on the recent election reversals. Mr. Gandhi credited NRIs for their contributions over the years with ideas, skillset and resources that has transformed India to a large extent and made it a respected member of the global family. Mr. Gandhi also promised further efforts to reconnect the Congress party with the Diaspora and to fight the forces of regressive policies and division that might erase the years of progress achieved under the successive Congress-led governments.
