കരോള്‍ട്ടണ്‍(ടെക്‌സസ്) : അഖില ലോക പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥനാദിനത്തോടനുബന്ധിച്ചു ഡാളസ്- ഫോര്‍ട്ട് വര്‍ത്ത് മെട്രോപ്ലെക്‌സിലെ വിവിധ ക്രൈസ്തവ ദേവാലയങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്നുള്ളവര്‍ മാര്‍ച്ച് 1 ശനിയാഴ്ച രാവിലെ 9 മുതല്‍ പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥനയ്ക്കായി സമ്മേളിക്കുന്നു.
കരോള്‍ട്ടണ്‍ ഡോവ്ക്രീക്ക് ലയിനിലുള്ള സെന്റ് ഇഗ്നേഷ്യസ് കത്തീഡ്രലില്‍ നടക്കുന്ന സമ്മേളനത്തില്‍ സുസന്‍ തമ്പാന്‍ (ഡാളസ്), ഫാ. ആന്‍ഡ്രൂ ക്വലീല്‍(കോപ്റ്റിക്ക് ചര്‍ച്ച്) എന്നിവര്‍ മുഖ്യപ്രഭാഷണം നടത്തും.
സ്ട്രീംസ് ഓഫ് ഡെസര്‍ട്ട്( മരുഭൂമിയിലെ നീരുറവ) എന്ന വിഷയമാണ് സമ്മേളനത്തിന്റെ ചിന്താവിഷയമായി തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നത്. മിസ്സ് എലിസമ്പത്ത് ജോര്‍ജ്ജ് കണ്‍വീനര്‍ ആയിട്ടുള്ള ഒരു കമ്മിറ്റിയാണ് സമ്മേളനത്തന്റെ വിജയകരമായ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് നേതൃത്വം നല്‍കുന്നത്.
മാര്‍ച്ച് 1 ശനിയാഴ്ച രാവിലെ 9 മണിക്ക് റജിസ്‌ട്രേഷന്‍ ആരംഭിക്കും. സമ്മേളനത്തില്‍ എല്ലാ സ്ത്രീകളും പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥനയോടുകൂടി വന്ന് സംബന്ധിക്കണമെന്ന് സംഘാടകര്‍ അഭ്യര്‍ത്ഥിച്ചു.
ആരാധനകളില്‍ സ്ത്രീകളുടെ തുല്യപങ്കാളിത്വം ഉറപ്പാക്കുക, ദാരിദ്ര്യവും അവശതയും അനുഭവിക്കുന്ന ലോക ജനതയുടെ ആശ്വാസത്തിന് പ്രത്യേക പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥനകള്‍ നടത്തുക എന്ന ലക്ഷ്യത്തോടെ 1887 ല്‍ അമേരിക്കയിലാണ് സ്ത്രീകളുടെ പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥനാദിനാചരണം ആരംഭിച്ചത്. ലോകത്തിലെ 170 രാജ്യങ്ങളിലാണ് “വേള്‍ഡ് പ്രെയര്‍ ഡേ” സമ്മേളനങ്ങള്‍ നടക്കുന്നത്.
