Indian National Overseas Congress, USA makes a great Showing at the New York India Day Parade.

Amidst the pomp and splendor and with an overwhelming sense of love for our Mother Land India, fellow Indians gathered on Sunday August 17th 2014 in Manhattan to celebrate the 34th India Day Parade. On this day, it was an absolute honor and immense pleasure to see how well the party of the great leaders of Congress were represented in such grandeur and glory with a INOC USA float and making a unique mark of prominence among the floats in New York City. The President of INOC USA, Mr. Juned Qazi was seen exercising excellent diplomacy and democracy in every facet of his actions with attention to finite details in handling people and in setting up of one of the most outstanding floats in the Parade. Better yet, he rose above all and challenged a few jeerers enroute to join him in hailing "Bharat Mata ki Jai" on this glorious day and practicing the solidarity and the secular beliefs that are the staple of Congress Party and its members and supporters.

 

Mr. Juned Qazi and his team did a commendable job in making this India Day Parade for INOC USA such a great success. The float was represented by many Executive Committee Members and Chapter Heads and general members and their families and friends. Mr. Qazi was seen extending his appreciation and congratulations to the Chairman George Abraham ,Harbachan Singh JI General Secretary ,Mr. Mohinder Singh Gilzian ,senior Vice President , Mr.Sawaran Singh , Mr. Zach Thomas ,Mr. Karamjit Dhaiwal , Mr. T.J Gill. Mr. Zinda Singh , Ms.Sabina Ali , Mr. Surinder Dhall Chairman M.P Chapter Ms.Sonia Sodhi ,Mr.Rumpy Bindra, Mr.Girish Patel . Mr. Jasvir Singh ,Mr. Naqi Khan, Prasad Kambhampaty, R. Jayachandran (President, Kerala Chapter), Jose George, Jose Jacob, Varghese Thekkekara, Gajendran Ganesan and the entire INOC team, including the Parade Committee for their support and contributions.

 

"We salute our great leaders on this special day Mahatma Gandhi, , Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Sadar Vallabhai Patel, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Mr. Moulana Abul Kalam Azad, S. Radhakrishnan, B.R. Ambedkar to name a few who built the foundation of democracy rooted in great values and principles in India. These principles were to bring together millions of Indians by specifically working against caste differences, untouchability, poverty and religious and ethnic boundaries. “ It is indeed our responsibility as succeeding generations, to safeguard those cherished principles"urged Juned Qazi.

 

 

He also advised to exercise vigilance to ensure that proper governance prevails at all times. INOC USA renders its gratitude towards our current Congress leaders Mrs. Sonia Gandhi , Mr. Rahul Gandhi ,Dr. Karan Singh, Mr. Digvijay Singh who continue to work on these principles and have led our nation to be the one of the most thriving economies in the world. "The INOC USA will continue to work as friends with today's INC leaders with common chore values and principles and thank them for safeguarding the cherished principles of the congress party.
