ന്യൂയോര്‍ക്ക്‌: മുന്‍ കോണ്‍സല്‍ ജനറല്‍ ഡോ. ദേവയാനി ഖോബ്രഗഡേയ്‌ക്കെതിരേയുള്ള വിസ ക്രമക്കേട്‌ കേസിലെകുറ്റപത്രം കോടതി റദ്ദാക്കി.എന്നാല്‍ പുതിയ കുറ്റപത്രം സമര്‍ പ്പിക്കാനുള്ള സാധ്യത പ്രോസിക്യുട്ടേഴ്സിനുണ്ട്.പ്രശ്നം വഷളായതിനെ തുടര്‍ ന്ന് ദേവയാനി ഇന്ത്യയിലേക്ക് മടങ്ങി പോയിരുന്നു.ഇന്ത്യയും അമേരിക്കയും തമ്മിലുണ്ടായിരുന്ന ബന്ധത്തില്‍ സാരമായ വിള്ളലുകള്‍ വരുത്തിയ ഒരു വിഷയമായിരുന്നു ദേവയാനിയുടെ അറസ്റ്റ്. A federal judge Wednesday dismissed charges against an Indian diplomat whose New York arrest and strip search spurred an international flap. A ruling filed today said Devyani Khobragade, India's former deputy consul-general, had diplomatic immunity when she was indicted on charges of fraudulently obtaining a work visa for her housekeeper and lying about the maid's pay January 9. But the ruling leaves open the possibility prosecutors could bring a new indictment against her. The U.S. attorney's office in Manhattan hasn't commented on its plans. Devyani Khobragade, 39, has she that is very worried she will never be allowed to the return to the U.S. where her husband and two daughters continue to live.
