AAP denies reports about holding talks with RMP in Kerala

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Sunday denied reports about a possible alliance with the Revolutionary Marxist Party (RMP) in Kerala.

Denying the news, AAP spokesperson Manoj Padmanabhan said: “At present there is no such discussion on between both the parties.”

But Manoj refused to shut the doors on an alliance completely and added that “in future the party may take up the issue for review.”

It was RMP leader K. A. Rama who spoke about a possible alliance between the two parties ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.

According to Rama, other senior leaders of the party met AAP founder and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in Delhi.

RMP leader N Venu had stated that the party will contest from all 20 Lok Sabha seats in the state. The partnership will resist the left-wing corporate lobby, he added.

Meanwhile, P T A Rahim, Kunnamangalam MLA, held discussions with the AAP leadership. Later, he said he has not decided to join the AAP.
