The high level meeting by Sports Minister Jithendra Singh on Monday is expected to take decision about presenting Arjuna Award to volley ball player Tom Joseph.

The meeting is likely to take a  favourable stance towards Tom.

The Sports Ministry has decided to reconsider the decision when it became a controversy. The Ministry denied the award to Tom after he was in consideration nine times.

Jiji Thomson, SAI Director and award committee member,  P K Deb, Sport Ministry Secretary and Michael Ferriera, Award committee chairman have recommended Tom for the award. Ferriera may attend the meeting today.
