CPM state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan on Wednesday said that there is no change in CPM's stand that Oommen Chandy should step down and face judicial probe. A chain of protests will continue unless Chandy resigns as CM, Pinrayi said.

Only the first phase of the protest is over. The Left Front has gained more strength from the recent mass movement against the government. The siege was called off to avoid negative opinion from the public, Pinarayi said.

The end of Secretariat siege is only the beginning of the chain of mass protests that will begin in Kerala. A new movement will be started with the energy gathered from the Secretariat siege. A final decision on this will be taken at the LDF meeting. Oommen Chandy will not be allowed to take part in any of the public programmes and the strike will continue till Chandy resigns, Pinarayi insisted.

Resignation of the chief minister is certain. The norm is that a person should resign from government or administrative posts once judicial probe starts. The Secretariat siege was a grand success. The heart of the people in Kerala stood by the mass agitation, Pinarayi said.
