In a clear signal that all's not well between the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) and the Congress, IUML leader E T Mohammed Basheer stated on Friday that the League may contest the next Lok Sabha polls alone.

“The IUML was expecting the Congress High Command to sort out the problems in the party,” Basheer told media persons after the IUML Secretariat meeting held at the League House here.

Basheer added that if the UDF is not staying together, then contesting the next polls alone is the only alternative. He felt that Congress has to solve the internal problems in the party on its own.
