A movie that was an utter flop in the theatres has become a super hit on YouTube.

‘Father’s day, produced by J Bharat Samuel and directed by Kalavoor Ravikumar, has outshone superstar movies and earned itself numeorus viewers on YouTube.

The movie that was uploaded on YouTube on October 25 has earned 1,95,780 hits till date. People, who viewed it once, expressed their positive opinions on the social media and this led to thousands viewing the movie every single day.

Superstar movies that were uploaded on YouTube the same day as Father's Day got only half-a-lakh hits till last Thursday. Father's Day has got only Revathy and Lal as major stars. A private channel that had bought the telecast rights of the movie was the one that uploaded the movie.

Of the movies released in October, Lijo Jose Pellisery’s ‘Amen’ has the highest number of hits, 3.26 lakh  till date. This year the most viewed movie on YouTube is Shweta Menon-starrer ‘Rathinirvedam’ This movie that was uploaded on YouTube on May 8 has got 7.73 lakh hits till date.
