കോഴഞ്ചേരി : മാര്‍ത്തോമാ സഭയിലെ സീനിയര്‍ പട്ടക്കാരനും ജയ്പൂര്‍, രാജസ്ഥാന് മിഷനറിയനുമായിരുന്ന റവ.എം.കെ.തോമസ് 66 വയസ്സ് ചൊവ്വാഴ്ച രാവിലെ 8.30ന് കോഴഞ്ചേരിയില്‍ നിര്യാതനായി. കോഴഞ്ചേരി സെന്റര്‍ ക്ലര്‍ജി മീറ്റിങ്ങില്‍ പങ്കെടുക്കാനെത്തിയ അച്ചന് നെഞ്ചുവേദന അനുഭവപ്പെട്ടതിനെ തുടര്‍ന്ന് poyamil ആശുപത്രിയില്‍ പ്രവേശിപ്പിച്ചുവെങ്കിലും മരണം സംഭവിച്ചിരുന്നു. താഴെമണ്ണില്‍ എം.റ്റി. കോശിയുടേയും, ഏലിയാമ്മയുടേയും മകനാണ് റവ.എം.കെ. തോമസ് നല്ലിക്കുന്ന് അഹമ്മദാബാദ്, മെഹ്‌സാന, നാഗ്പൂര്‍,വടക്കുംചേരി, താണിപ്പാടം, പീച്ചി, പത്തനാപുരം, ജയ്പൂര്‍ ബഫേല്‍ പള്ളിപാട് തുടങ്ങിയ നിരവധി ഇടവകകളില്‍ സേവനം അനുഷ്ഠിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. കോഴഞ്ചേരി കല്ലുവെട്ടാം കുഴിയില്‍ കെ.ജെ. ഫിലിപ്പിന്റേയും, ശോശാമ്മയുടേയും മകള്‍ ആനിതോമസാണ് ഭാര്യ. മക്കള്‍ എം.റ്റി.കോശി, എം.ടി.ഫിലിപ്പ്. സംസ്‌ക്കാര ശുശ്രൂഷ ബുധനാഴ്ച 4മണിക്ക് കോഴഞ്ചേരി സെന്റ് തോമസ് ചര്‍ച്ചില്‍ അഭിവന്ദ്യ ജോസഫ് മാര്‍ത്തോമ്മാ മെത്രാപ്പോലീത്തയുടെ മുഖ്യകാര്‍മ്മികത്വത്തില്‍ നടത്തപ്പെടും.

Rev. M. K. Thomas ( Sr) residing at Kozhencherry came to the Kozhencherry church for Centre Clergy meeting by 8.30 am today. Then he went to the road to have some medicines to be purchased. As he was there at Poyanil Junction he felt uneasiness and had an heart attack. By the time he was taken to Poyanil Hospital, he was declared dead. The body is now in mortuary. Funeral is arranged for tomorrow. Body will be brought to the house near the TB Junction by 8.00 a.m. on Wednesday morning and the funeral will be conducted by 4.00 p.m. at Kozhencherry Church.
